Our Approach
We approach landscape design as the shaping of space over time—bringing structure, clarity, and a sense of cohesion to how a place is experienced.
A landscape is more than a collection of elements. It is a living composition that organizes movement, frames views, and establishes a relationship between home and site. From the outset, we consider how a space will be used, how it will change through the seasons, and how it will mature in the years ahead.
Planting is central to this process. Rather than being applied at the end, it is developed as part of the overall structure—defining space, reinforcing relationships, and contributing to the character of the landscape as it evolves.
We also recognize that a landscape functions as part of a larger ecological system. Thoughtful plant selection and layered planting strategies support pollinators, birds, and other wildlife, allowing the garden to participate in the surrounding environment rather than stand apart from it.
Our work is grounded in the conditions of each site. Soil, exposure, and regional climate inform every decision, allowing the landscape to feel integrated, resilient, and responsive to its place. This approach results in landscapes that feel composed from the beginning and continue to develop in richness, function, and ecological value over time.
