Speaking & Workshops

We offer talks and presentations for design-focused groups, garden clubs, and community organizations interested in landscapes that are both visually compelling and ecologically grounded.

Our presentations explore the relationship between design, ecology, and long-term garden performance, with content tailored to the conditions of Seattle, the Eastside, and Camano Island.

Rather than focusing on plant lists alone, talks center on how landscapes function as systems—how they are structured, how they evolve over time, and how they can support both people and wildlife without compromising design integrity.

Topics May Include

  • Designing for wildlife without sacrificing aesthetics

  • Building structure and seasonal continuity

  • Planting for dry soils and changing climate conditions

  • Creating landscapes that mature and improve over time

Format

Talks can be adapted for small groups, larger audiences, or workshop-style sessions. Each presentation is tailored to the audience, site context, and level of experience.
